Zakka Style's Zip Organizer
I finally got the chance to crack out the Zakka Style book that I bought last summer when the book was all the rage. The last I knew this book was in it's fifth printing. That's awesome!

An Eventful Week!
Yep, you read that right!
Which means that this Sunday and next Sunday (Easter Sunday) there will be no Blogging Technology 101 tutorials. I'll have a new one up the Sunday after Easter.
With that said I can not express on how exhausted I am!
Why?
This morning (Saturday) started at 4:00 am so that my my baby girl could catch her flight this morning. And as much as none of us wanted to be up at 4:00 am it was worth doing! We missed the security hassle and the long lines to check in, that was nice!

Blogging Technology 101: Social Media Icons
Social media will help grow your audience to your blog and you do want to be accessible to as many people as possible. With that said when you have a new visitor to your blog you want it to be known that you are available at _________ whatever social medium you use.
Blogging Technology 101: Technically Advanced Sites
As you have noticed in my last post of the Blogging Technology 101 Series I referred to another site because I felt that they had a better tutorial. In this post I am going to give you the referred sites that I believe will advance you even farther is making your blog look great.
Through this whole series I have been showing how I manage in making my blog the way it is. Now its time to introduce you to others who will advance you.
Snap is a phenomenal blog!
Tauni is the owner of snap and you can find a ton of great blogging tips on her page.
The Flurshing Abode by April has a great series for WorldPress bloggers, and some great tips for other bloggers too!
Echinops and Aster By Janelle has a great tip to adding numbers to your comments.
LeeLou Blogs by Julie has everything you need from headers, backgrounds, to social media icons. Plus tips and tutorials.
Shabby Blogs is a lot like LeeLou Blogs with a shabby chic feel.
I do still have a few more things up my sleeve for this series but if you are interested in more advancement or a pre-made blog look these are the sites to go to.

Were was the Encouragement?
Sorry all no pretty photo today!
I have been thinking pretty intensely about my last post over the harsh judging of the Modern Quilt Guild judges from QuiltCon. I am referring to Angela and Tarcey's posts. For me personally I have competed in one quilt show and my quilts did not place. I am good with that. I did not receive any commentaries on them either, so I really do not know if the judges hated them or not. No it was not a sanctioned show but for me it was still fun to try it.
Would I ever enter into another show?
If the timing is right and I have the right quilt, I just may enter into another show again.

Blogging Technology 101: Blog Badges
If I had a button/badge this is what it would look like!
Badges or buttons whatever you want to call them are all over blogs every where. They are used as advertisements, to grow your following, and to simply let folks know you exist in the blogging sphere! Now if you are just aching to have one, that's cool, and that is what I am going to show you in how to accomplish just that...your own button or badge.
Now I am sure you have noticed that there are two types of badges in the blog sphere. One is where the blogger says: "Grab my badge" or "Buttons for you" as seen in the photo from the Fat Quarter Shop. Then there are ones with an HTML code at the bottom of them for easy to use access as seen here in the photo by my fake blog of Isaboo & Blue. In this tutorial I am going to and show you how both of them come together and how you can use either or for your own blog.
Let's get started, shall we!

Blogging Technology 101: Making a Header Part 3 using PicMonkey
Welcome to PicMonkey!
PicMonkey is a semi free photo editing website.
Meaning you can pay $4.99 a month or $33.00 for a year of all the coolness that PicMonkey offers.
If you do not want to pay out for all the coolness be aware that all the fonts, overlays, etc with a crown on them are part of the Royal upgrade and you will not be able to use them unless you pay the monthly or yearly fee to do so.
FYI: I currently have opted of not paying for the Royal service.
But that might change soon!
With that said lets get started!
