When I stumble across someone's blog the first thing that I see is their header and later as I scroll down I will sometimes see a blog badge. When I started blogging I had no clue on how to get these done on my own, and I used to think that you had to hire some one to make this all possible. Well, you can still hire someone if you want too but I am telling you from experience you do not have too. All because there are so many tools out there today that can help you make your header and badge on your own and some of them are free to use!
This series is a basic (101) course on how to give your blog a makeover on your own without having to pay someone else to do it. Not that there is nothing wrong with paying someone. I know for a fact there are folks out there that would love to pay someone to makeover their blog but can not afford to.
Of the crazy unrelated posts that may seem a bit weird lately!!!
Trust me I have a good reason for them.
And it is all because I am planning a series of how to's on blogging technology.
As some of you may know I have been blogging for quite some time now and my blog as I have said before has seen as many face-lifts as Joan Rivers has. I know I have said before too that I am not a series writer, and that is correct! I figured this that it would not hurt to share the tech things I have learned along the way! I will disclaim of being a computer expert or a graphics designer! There that's said! However, I have picked up on how to decipher that scary HTML coding a bit!
The reason to write a series like this is because I still ask myself when I stumble on to something neat on someone's blog of; How did they do that? Some of the things I learned through the linking trails that are traced onto the other person's blog others I had to simply ask! Anyone I have ever asked has been gracious enough to respond back, and yes, I will give credit were credit is due! With that said I am looking for guest bloggers who would not mind sharing some of their tech savvy ways with the rest of the blogging community. Please feel free to contact me if you feel that you have something cool to share.
In the mean time please excuse my hot messes going on while I am getting to get this series together.
I know its been seen everywhere since Super Bowl Sunday.
However, right now I can not get enough of it! I really do love this commercial!
Okay , no, I am not sitting in front of YouTube and clicking on the repeat button excessively a million times over just to hear it again.
I am loving this commercial because these less than three minute fill your mind of short story tales were a part of my childhood.
I can remember car rides with my parents and that voice that ended the every segment with "Now You Know the Rest of the Story!" and many other of Paul Harvey's short tales.
Just seeing and hearing this commercial puts a smile to my face and hearing Paul Harvey's voice again really warms my heart!
Thank you dad for building a great childhood memory for me!
Life after making a deadline quilt for me at least is all about taking a big breather and revealing my stresses.
Especially after the struggle it was to get this last one done.
Now mind you I put myself in the position of having a deadline and I am no way complaining about it.
So what do I do after making a quilt with such fuss.
Well I find something to do that is the total opposite of quilting itself.
I am writing this post today to make light on a subject that was just recently brought up to my attention.
This is a subject I know I have lightly discussed a time before and I just want to bang my head against the wall for having to discuss it again!
